Helping children and teens rebuild strength, independence, and confidence after brain or neurologic injury
Comprehensive Pediatric Rehabilitation for Growing Minds
That’s why our team of specialists takes a child-centered approach that combines medical care, therapy, and education. Every program is individualized to support your child’s physical, emotional, and cognitive growth — helping them reach their fullest potential both at home and in school.
Families Are the Heart of Our Program
At Lakeside Neurologic, we know that parents and caregivers are an essential part of every child’s recovery journey. Our family-centered pediatric rehabilitation program encourages collaboration, open communication, and emotional support — empowering families to play an active role in their child’s success.
We partner with families to develop individualized treatment and education plans that align with each child’s goals and strengths. Together, we create a foundation for lasting progress — at home, in school, and in the community.
Family Collaboration
Parents are active partners in creating and implementing their child’s rehabilitation plan.
Emotional Support
We provide education and counseling for families to strengthen confidence and resilience throughout recovery.
School Reintegration
Our education team works with home school districts to help each child transition back smoothly and successfully.

Lakeside Neurologic is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) through Cognia. These accreditations guarantee that the credits earned here are recognized nationwide, helping students transition smoothly back into their home school districts after discharge.
We work with the child’s home school district to follow their established IEP or 504 plan focused on their unique academic, physical, and behavioral needs. Our team of certified teachers, therapists, and specialists work together to ensure that each child learns at their own pace while gaining confidence and independence.
Medical Management
Board-certified physicians and nurses provide comprehensive medical evaluations, ongoing pharmacologic management, and individualized care plans. Led by a Medical Director certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, our team ensures every child’s treatment supports both healing and long-term neurological health.
Neuropsychology
Our licensed neuropsychologists perform detailed evaluations to identify each child’s cognitive strengths, learning styles, and behavioral needs. These insights guide individualized treatment plans and IEP development, ensuring that education and therapy progress hand in hand.
Therapy Services
Children benefit from a full spectrum of rehabilitative therapies, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology. Our therapists use evidence-based techniques to help children improve mobility, communication, and daily living skills in a supportive environment.
Behavioral Intervention
Certified behavior analysts and specialists create custom behavior and motivation plans for each child. These programs reduce unwanted behaviors, build emotional regulation skills, and strengthen positive responses at home and in school.
Family Training & Support
Because family involvement is vital to successful recovery, we provide training, counseling, and education to parents and caregivers. Families learn strategies for behavior management, medication adherence, and community reintegration helping children thrive long after discharge.
Vocational & Life Skills Development
For older children and teens, Lakeside Neurologic offers age-appropriate pre-vocational programs that teach responsibility, teamwork, and money management. Clients gain hands-on experience and independence while preparing for a successful transition back to home, school, or community life.
